Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
We believe that having a diverse workforce brings not only diversity of thought, but it also drives innovation and progress, which is key to everything we do.
During October 2020 the Grafton Group ran an internal communications drive highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion across all its businesses. This included communications on colleague stories and highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion in all Group businesses.
The Valuable 500
We’re proud to announce that the Grafton Group plc has joined The Valuable 500.
The Valuable 500 is a global movement putting disability inclusion on the business leadership agenda and celebrating those who are already committed to inclusion.
At Grafton, we believe we should focus on creating an inclusive and diverse culture where all colleagues feel comfortable discussing their disabilities with the knowledge that they will get the support and encouragement required. If colleagues feel comfortable that their disability will not impede them, they will thrive.

International Women's Day 8th March
At Civils & Lintels, we strongly believe in selecting the right people for the role. We are proud to have lots of great female role models who are the best in their field, and who make a huge difference to the running of our business. This year’s International Women’s Day has a theme of #ChooseToChallenge. The aim is to encourage people to challenge the stereotypes of what roles women can play in what have been traditionally considered male industries. The construction sector, as are C&L, is seeing the many benefits in having females on their team. Here at C&L, we #ChooseToChallenge and wholeheartedly encourage any female to join our industry.
#YESSHECAN – JOURNEY SO FAR
Formed at the end of 2018, #YesSheCan started as a way to inspire women. They made it there intention to showcase as many women as possible to be role models and inspire others.
At #YesSheCan there aim is to INSPIRE, EMPOWER and ENGAGE.
